‘Danube’adaptation led by Denis Villeneuvewon several accolades from the specialized critics and did well by taking no less than five awards in the last edition of the BAFTA.
The film won the statuettes of Best Photography, Best Original Soundtrack, Best Production Design, Best sound e Best Visual Effects.

According to the journalist Josh Encinias in attendance at one of the ‘Danube’the acclaimed director Denis Villeneuve has already started production on the 2nd part of the adaptation – and that filming should start in mid 2022 (more precisely on the day 18th of July of next year).
Villeneuve has already started writing the screenplay and started working on the project before it even got the green light at Warner Bros.. According to him:
“I’m writing part two right now, and I feel eight years old again. This is very unusual for me. It’s the first time I experience seeing one of my films and I have a moment of pure gratitude, joy and I say, ‘thank you, life, for giving me the opportunity to bring this to the screen’”.
The director intends to make a trilogy.
