The upcoming series dedicated to ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi‘ will bring back the protagonist Ewan McvGregor e Hayden Christenseninterpreter of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith’.
But, in addition to them, the plot also rescues Joel Edgerton e Bonnie Piesseinterpreters of Owen and Beru Lars, the uncles of Luke Skywalker, seen for the first time in ‘A new hope’.
For those who don’t remember, Edgerton e pity were introduced in ‘Or Attack two Clones’ and reprized the roles in the sequel.
In an interview for Entertainment Weeklythe principal deborah chow praised the duo and seemed overjoyed to expand on the story of those who raised little Luke.
“I can see that the fans are very excited about Hayden’s return, which is amazing. I was so excited to bring him back. And not just him, but Joel [Edgerton] and Bonie [Piesse]. Part of what made the show even more special is having them with us, you know? Characters presented chronologically 20 years ago.”
She added that:
“Throughout the story, audiences will realize why they were always so protective of Luke and why Owen harbors a disaffection for Obi-Wan. I believe that they have always played an essential role in the saga, but here these characters will gain an even more touching charge than they had before. [na trilogia prequel].”
Remembering that the series is set 10 years after the dramatic events of ‘Revenge of the Sith‘, when Kenobi secluded himself on Tatooine after his duel with Anakin to keep Luke and Leia hidden from his father and Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid).
In addition to the aforementioned stars, the cast also includes O’Shea Jackson Jr (‘Straight Outta Compton’), Rupert Friend (‘Homeland’), Moses Ingram (‘The Queen’s Gamito’), Sung Kang | (‘Fast and furious’) Kumail Nanjiani (‘Eternal’), Indira Varma (‘Game of Thrones’), Simone Kessell (‘Reckoning’) e Benny Safdie (‘Uncut Gems’).
Debut scheduled for may 25th, ‘Ob-Wan Kenobi’ It will only have six 1-hour episodes.
