In an interview with Discussing Film, J.K. Simmonsone of the voices behind the praised and adored animation ‘Invincible’revealed that Season 2 is closer than we think and that production is “imminent.”
“Again, always wary of spoilers, but I think I have permission to say that we will be getting back to work very soon in the recording booth.”he said. “Now the delay between our first shoots and the animation being complete is obviously months apart and probably over a year I would say. But yes, ‘Invincible’ is returning to work and season 2 is imminent. It is a vague and good term.”
Simmons also commented on the reception the series had, saying he was quite surprised by the impact on audiences.
“Honestly, because I didn’t know the source material before they sent it to me, I was surprised at the impact it had. As with most animated things, there was greater freedom to explore and take bolder risks. […] It was a lot of fun, and I had a lot of amazing actors to work with, Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh and a great cast. […] I’m excited to be able to work with them again.”he said..
The full cast is also made up of Mark Hamill, Chris Diamantopolous, Walton Goggins, Grey Griffin, Gillian Jacobs, Melise, Jason Mantzoukas, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson e Seth Rogen.
In the plot, we follow the story of Mark Grayson, an ordinary teenager who works in a cafeteria after school, who enjoys comics and who has some friends. The big difference between him and the other young people is the fact that he is the son of the greatest superhero on the planet, the Omni-Man. It doesn’t take long and Mark begins to develop the same powers as his father, such as flight, super strength and super speed. This news will transform your life in unimaginable ways.
