Rumors of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ pointed out that several stars who have already given life to heroes of Marvel can reprise their roles in the sequel.
One of them would be Nicholas Cagereturning as Johnny Blaze, the Ghost Rider.
Cage played the character in 2007 and 2012, but both films were slammed by critics, garnering just 26% and 18% approval ratings, respectively.
During an interview for the Comic Book, Cage was asked if he received any invitation to return to the role, to which he replied:
“Not yet, no. This did not happened. So far, no one has asked me if I want to play Ghost Rider again.”
In any case, he lavished praise on the character, indicating that he would reprise the role if given the opportunity.
“Ghost Rider is an amazing character and I loved doing it. I mean, he’s kind of complicated. He’s like, how do you tell the story of Faust within the context of this universe? Because he’s a very philosophical character. I think that makes him special in a way that goes beyond other superheroes.”
Apparently, Blaze will be ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ but now that the MCU will explore supernatural plots in ‘Blade’ and ‘Moon Knight’it is possible that the character will return in the future.
