according to THR (via Deadline), the director Kenneth Branagh and the star Ciarán Hindswho worked together on the acclaimed drama ‘Belfast’tested positive for COVID-19 and were unable to attend the Producers Guild Awards ceremony this past Saturday, March 19.
Jude Hillchild protagonist of the production, revealed that “We have the team from Focus Features here, and I’m sitting at the table and unfortunately the rest of the cast couldn’t come because Ciarán and Ken have COVID-19, but they’ll be here in spirit.”
Remembering that the long won seven nominationsincluding Best movie, Best Original Screenplay e best direction to Branagh and Best Supporting Actress for Judi Dench.
Winners will be announced on the day 27 of march.
The film is produced by Laura Berwick, Becca Kovacik e Tamar Thomas.
‘Belfast’ is a lighthearted, personal story about the power of memory, set in late 1960s Northern Ireland. At the center of the film is Buddy, a boy on the cusp of adolescence whose life is filled with family love, childhood fun and budding romance. However, with their beloved hometown embroiled in mounting turmoil, her family faces an important choice: wait for the conflict to pass or leave everything they know behind for a new life.
