During a recent appearance at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Amy Adamswho returns as Princess Giselle, commented a bit on the highly-anticipated film and said that the experience of the new feature was much more intense than the first, leaning more towards the settings of a musical rather than a parody.
“There’s a lot more singing and a lot more dancing, which was amazing. The last time I actually danced like this was in my mid-20s, and now I’m not there anymore. It’s a different feeling when you’re forty. In my heart, I feel like I’m in my twenties when I dance, and then I watch the recordings and think, ‘Wow, it’s not the same’.”she commented.
Adam Shankman joins as director.
The plot takes place 15 years after the events of ‘Nice to meet you‘ and takes us back to Giselle’s world (Adams) and her pragmatic husband, attorney Robert (Patrick Dempsey). With Morgan now a teenager, Giselle and her family will relocate to suburban Monroeville, where she will have to face the challenges of a new home as she tries to rediscover the true meaning of “Happily Ever After”.
The actress Gabby Baldacchino will bring Morgan to life as a teenager. James Marsden (Prince Edward) and Idina Menzel (Nancy Tremaine) return, alongside the newly announced Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown e Jayma Mays.
‘Nice to meet you’ brought in the cast Adams like Princess Giselle, who was pushed down a magical well and out of her enchanted world and onto the bustling streets of New York. Susan Sarandon e Timothy Spall were also part of the film.
