The winners of the 64th Annual Grammy Awards are now being revealed and the iconic Oscar winner H.E.R. already won its first prize.
The singer-songwriter took home the statuette of Best Traditional R&B Performance by the acclaimed “Fight For You”.
She is also up for other categories, including album of the year by ‘Back of My Mind’ e song of the year by “Fight For You”.
Alter-ego de Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson, H.E.R. rose to fame in 2016 with the release of his acclaimed EP namesake. Since then he has released numerous other works that have fallen into popular and critical taste.
In 2019, the artist was nominated for five Grammy categories, taking home the awards for Best R&B Performance e Best R&B Album. This year, she won the Oscar for best original song by “Fight for You”of the movie ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’and the figurine of song of the year by “I Can’t Breathe”.
