Kenny Rockthe brother of Chris Rocksays that he does not accept the apology of Will Smith for the punch the actor threw at the comedian during the 2022 Oscars ceremony. In an interview with The LA Times, Kenny said that his brother was no “threat” to Smith, that he had no respect for Rock.
Will Smith publicly apologized to Chris, however, Kenny did not agree with the actor’s attitude: “I don’t think it was sincere. I think his agent and the people who work with him probably advised him to do this.”.
According to Kenny, Will’s statement on social media was not enough: “I might have looked at it differently if he initially apologized when he got on stage, cried and accepted the award, but he didn’t, so that tells me it’s something else.”.
Even if you don’t apologize Chris Rock during the speech, Will Smith commented on what happened on social media last Monday, 28. “I’d like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong”he wrote.
