The actor James Marsden who played Cyclops in the franchise’X-Men‘ (2000), commented on the possible return of the character in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘. Marsden spoke about the speculation in an interview he gave to Black Girl Nerds in the marketing campaign for ‘Sonic 2: The Movie‘.
When asked if he would be in the sequel starring Benedict CumberbatchMarsden jokingly replied: “Yes, let’s bring him back now, 22 years later. After all, isn’t that what the multiverse is?”.
Ben Schwartz, who is also in ‘Sonic 2’ as the title character and was in the interview, asked: “Are you in Doctor Strange 2 or not?” Marsden then replied: “No”.
By the way, Schwartz took advantage of the situation to joke: “It’s crazy but I’m in the new Doctor Strange movie as his version of Cyclops, I appear as James Marsden’s version of Cyclops”.
