According to information released by the Varietya HBO Max is developing a series in live-action do ‘Aqualad‘. DC’s new production will adapt the comics’ arcYou Brought Me to the Ocean‘, which tells the origin of the young hero.
The show will explore the life of Jackson Hyde, a gay teenager living in New Mexico. All his life, he has had a strange attraction to water and longs to escape his desert environment to the ocean. As he explores his abilities, including breathing and controlling water, he also falls in love with his classmate, Kenny Liu.
‘Aqualad‘ is without any cast at the moment, but has an executive production by the actress Charlize Theron, AJ Ten, Beth Kono e Andrew Haas from Denver & Delilah Films. The Jake Hyde version of Aqualad debuted in 2010 and was created for the animated series’young Justice‘. It was later revealed that he is the son of the supervillain Black Manta.
Kaldur’ahm, or Kaldur for short, is the name of two fictional superheroes codenamed Aqualad and Aquaman in media published by DC Entertainment. The character was created by Brandon Vietti, Greg Weisman e Phil Bourassa.
