Oscar-winning actor, Eddie Redmayneinterpreter of Newt Scamander from the franchise ‘fantastic beasts‘, he said that the third film in the saga is like a version of ‘Eleven and a Secret’, only with wizards. Redmayne drew this parallel in an interview with The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The actor explained how ‘Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets‘ is different from the other productions in the franchise: “What I love about this movie is that it feels like a sort of wizard heist movie. It’s like ‘The Eleven and a Secret’ set in the Wizarding World.”.
And went on to say: “Jude Law, who plays Dumbledore, is basically George Clooney, and I’m Brad Pitt. Can’t you see that resemblance?”joked the actor from ‘The theory of everything‘, comparing the similarities between the franchises and the actors.
In ‘Eleven men and a secret‘, we see an ironic thief who organizes a team to rob three Las Vegas casinos at once – the most sophisticated and elaborate heist in history. While the third film in the franchise’fantastic beasts‘ follows Redmayne’s protagonist Newt Scamander and his friends working with Albus Dumbledore to stop Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) of war with the Muggle world.
Dumbledore entrusts Newt Scamander with the leadership of an intrepid team of wizards, witches and a courageous Muggle baker, who will set out on a perilous quest where they will encounter fantastic beasts new and old and face off against Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers.
