Check out the new cover:
When I wrote this song for Top Gun: Maverick, I didn’t even realize the multiple layers it spanned across the film’s heart, my own psyche, and the nature of the world we’ve been living in. I’ve been working on it for years, perfecting it, trying to make it ours. pic.twitter.com/1GReWGW8Ql

in it, Gaga appears in a black and white photo, lying down, with a very intense expression. She steps away from her fancy clothes, wearing a white t-shirt. The singer made it clear that ‘Hold My Hand‘ goes beyond entertainment. The track carries out a social reflection.
“When I wrote this song for ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, I didn’t even realize the multiple layers it covered the heart of the film, my own psyche and the nature of the world we live in. For years, perfecting it, trying to make it ours. I wanted to turn the song into a song where we share our deep need to be understood and try to understand each other – a desire to be close when we feel so far apart and an ability to celebrate life’s heroes.”said the artist.
Lady Gaga also thanked those responsible for the film and the collaborators of the song: “I’m so grateful to Tom Cruise, Hans Zimmer and Joe for this opportunity – and it’s been a great experience working with them. Me, BloodPop, Ben Rice and everyone else who worked on this with us are so excited to share it with you. This song is a love letter to the world during and after a very difficult time. I wanted you to listen for so long. And I’m really excited to show you on May 3rd. ‘Hold My Hand’”.
Remembering that ‘Top Gun: Maverick‘ was scheduled to be released in theaters in 2020, but arrives only now on May 26, 2022. The first trailer, even, came out in 2019, showing the actor back in the role of the Maverick pilot, now as an established instructor. .
