Our Renato Marafon continues to cover the CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where tonight he witnessed, first-hand, the screening of a teaser for the sequel ‘Halloween Ends‘, led by the director David Gordon Green.
Jamie Lee Curtis was at the convention to present the trailer and had to mock the audience for not getting a standing ovation when she took the stage. “Come on guys, it’s been 44 years of this shit!”, said the actress. Renato said that she is very funny and knows how to command the public.
Lee Curtis also confirmed that ‘Halloween Ends‘ marks the end of her stint in the franchise playing Laurie Strode: “Mom is tired”. But she promised that Laurie’s latest showdown with Michael Myers will “mess with you.”
He said that Laurie Strode was the most important role of his professional life and that he never understood the appeal of horror until he read an article that said: “horror allows us to face things we cannot control”.
See the description of our Renato Marafon on ‘Halloween Ends‘:
“The teaser starts off showing scenes from the first ‘Halloween’ (1978) and then cuts to the more recent ones, ending with Laurie hiding inside a kitchen cabinet, with Michael looking for her. When he goes to open a closet, she kicks the door and knocks him over. He slams her head into a glass and throws her onto the table. She takes a knife and stabs his hand. Titles go up. Michael appears lying down and Laurie about to cut his neck.”said.
‘Halloween Ends‘ is scheduled to open in theaters on October 14, 2022. stay tuned on CinePOP for more information from CinemaCon.
