According to TV Linea Netflix canceled the recent sitcom ‘Pretty Smart‘ after a single season.
It was said that the platform streaming decided not to go ahead with the production after the protagonist Emily Osment (‘Hannah Montana’) was promoted to series regular in season 6 of ‘Young Sheldon‘, in which she plays Mandy McAllister.
Released in October of last year, ‘Pretty Smart‘ was not well received by critics and received only 40% of approval in Rotten Tomatoes.
Besides Osmentthe cast also included Olivia Macklin, Gregg Sulkin, Michael Hsu Rosen, Cinthya Carmona, Jeff Ross e Ming-Na Wen.
in the plot, Osment brings Chelsea to life; a Harvard-educated intellectual and aspiring novelist – who after being unexpectedly dumped by her boyfriend is forced to move in with Claire (Macklin) her carefree, not-so-intellectual sister, and her three adorably eccentric, not-so-intellectual roommates: Grant (Sulkin), a personal trainer handsome, Solana (Carmon), a former lawyer turned healer, and Jayden (Rosen), a digital influencer. But Chelsea’s tough and sometimes critical exterior begins to soften when she meets her new friends and they begin to form an unlikely unlikely.
