Just like Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) was left out of the plot of ‘Thor: Ragnarok‘, the same thing happened with Lady Sif, the character of Jamie Alexander.
Present in the first two films of the hero, Alexander reprized the role in ‘Agents of SHIELD‘ and in an episode of ‘Loki‘.
As she has already been confirmed in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder‘ fans are wondering if she will play a significant role in the plot.
But it looks like she won’t be starring in action scenes in the film.
In an interview for the Comic Book, Alexander was straightforward in saying:
“For this movie, I didn’t have to train. I didn’t have to ‘get in shape’. And you will see why.”
So it looks like we’ll have to wait how and if she’ll interact with other characters when the movie hits theaters, in July 7th.
So, are you curious to see the character’s return?
The film features Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he has ever faced: the quest for self-knowledge. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic assassin known as Gorr the Butcher of the Gods (Christian Bale), which seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of the Valkyrie King (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) who, to Thor’s surprise, inexplicably wields his magic hammer, Mjolnir, being the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the Butcher of the Gods’ revenge and stop him before it’s too late.
As the film will include the participation of Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Waititi) Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), nebula (Karen Gillan), Drax (dave baptist), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Rocket (voice of Bradley Cooper) e Large (voz de Vin Diesel), there are several possibilities for this novel.
The cast is also made up of Jaime Alexander (Lady Sif), Jeff Goldblum (Grand Master), Christian Bale (Gorr, the Butcher of the Gods) e Russell Crowe (Zeus).
Melissa McCarthy will play the “fake version” of Hela in the Asgard theater troupe, alongside Matt Damon, Luke Hemsworth e Sam Neill.
Michael Giacchino (‘Batman’, ‘Ratatouille’) is responsible for the soundtrack.
