‘The White Lotus‘, a production that was one of the biggest winners of the Emmy 2022, is about to return, as the 2nd season of the series aired on HBO Max finished shooting in Italy, thus ending its filming.
The show was again shot in Italy, but this time it moved from Sicily to northern Rome at Lumina Studios. Previously, the series had been filmed at a resort that had closed its doors during the Covid-19 pandemic.
And even if the recordings are finished now, it won’t be long before the return of the series, which is already scheduled to premiere sometime in October 2022, with no date set at the moment.
Entitled ‘White Lotus: Sicily‘, the next cycle will focus on a new cast – with just a few familiar faces returning.
It is worth remembering that, recently, the first season conquered 20 Emmy Award nominationsincluding Best eMiniseries or TV Movie, Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie for Jennifer Coolidge, Sydney Sweeney, Alexandra Daddario, Connie Britton e Natasha Rothwell e Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or TV Movie for Murray Bartlett, Steve Zahn e Jake Lacy.
Winners will be announced on the days September 03 and 04. The winners of the main ceremony, in turn, in September 12th.
The narrative is centered on the guests and the staff of the The White Lotus, a resort hotel located in an idyllic paradise. As the vacation unfolds, however, dark situations arise between the characters and within the hotel itself.
